Audi Flatirons is a newly constructed Audi dealer located in Broomfield, just a short drive south from Boulder and about 17 miles northwest of Denver. Integrated into the local community representing an internationally-known luxury car brand, the company partnered with Anthem Branding to create branded custom merchandise.
Audi Flatirons’ goal for custom merchandise is simple: To create items that would both excite customers as well as reward those who have been loyal to the brand year-after-year.

“We wanted to explore something unique and not just another ‘toss our logo’ on a product type of experience,” says Craig David, brand marketing manager at Audi Flatirons. “Our challenge was apparel that would fit a broad range of people, something that all Audi fans would want to wear.”
David says his needs were heard by the team here at Anthem and executed in a reliable, efficient, and forward-thinking way.

“[Custom merchandise] gives customers a way to represent what they are proud of, and a way for us to connect on a lifestyle level with someone eager to show their support of a brand we’ve built locally,” David told us.
When Audi Flatirons opened, customers were confused if it was separate from the Boulder location or was in some way a competitor to it. Neither were true as Audi Flatirons is simply an expansion of the same company.
The custom merchandise helped to correct that misconception by aligning the visual parts of the brand together into one unifying narrative that evokes a feeling, connection, and deeper brand experience.

Custom merchandise sales are so good, Audi Flatirons is launching an e-commerce store to sell it online
Audi Flatirons sells its custom merchandise in the lounge of the dealership. The remaining inventory is given away at events or to their partners. Sales members also bonus a customer with custom merchandise such as a hat or jacket during the sales process.
A high-volume of custom merchandise sales made the business case for Audi Flatirons to invest in building an e-commerce store to sell the merchandise online. This is in the works now, says David, and will be stocked to the brim with custom Audi gear you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else.
“We haven’t created a piece that people didn’t love,” says David.
